Renato Borsato (Venice, December 14, 1927 – July 5, 2013) was an Italian painter who combined the Venetian figurative tradition with a personal and contemporary vision. His career began in the 1950s, participating in important artistic events such as the Venice Biennale, where he won the Tursi Prize in 1954. He lived and worked in several European cities, including Paris, where he furthered his artistic research. From 1979 to 1986, he was president of the Bevilacqua La Masa Foundation in Venice, actively contributing to the promotion of contemporary art. His works are present in numerous public and private collections, testifying to his importance in the Italian art scene of the twentieth century.
