Description of the work
Description of the work
Landscape has always been a central theme in artistic research, both as a setting, as a backdrop, and as a subject itself. The naturalistic depiction of landscape has been a major aspiration for artists of every era. Each historical period has offered its own interpretation of landscape, contributing to the evolution of its depiction: first with an exploration of space, through Brunelleschi's perspective in the early Renaissance; then with atmospheric rendering in the sixteenth century; and finally with the depiction of every single vibration of light on objects in Impressionism.
Looking at Renzo Capecci's works, we immediately realize that his interest lies not so much in the form of objects as in their chromatic values. Indeed, almost paradoxically, his landscapes are stripped of their plasticity to deliberately achieve a primary and elemental essentiality. It is in this context, in fact, that the artist can leverage the expressive potential of color. Thus, Renzo Capecci's works are always resolved in a refined chromatic balance, in which the bright, luminous hues of the objects stand out evocatively against the dim backgrounds. Another fundamental component of Capecci's pictorial practice is the material texture that animates the surfaces of his works.
Renzo Capecci is an artist from Endine, well-known for his still lifes and floral compositions, which have developed a color expressionism. A baker by profession, he has devoted himself passionately to painting, exhibiting his work in New York, Berlin, London, and Venice.
