Riccardo Zancano - Precious Reflections

This painting is a study in the chromatic composition of flesh tones, while the reflections of the water are interpreted with the eye of a painter who in some respects belongs to a surreal artistic movement. The woman is depicted in all her essence as a Goddess representing Paradise, capable of walking on the murky water of a pond, in which the roots of the water lilies (Purgatory) sink into the mud below (Hell).

The symbolism attributed to Rhodochrosite, Amethyst and Jade is depicted with blades of grass and water lily leaves, while the Diamond is a point of light inserted into the eye of the Goddess.
