Description of the work
Description of the work
Franco Maria Ricci (1937-2020) was a prominent publisher, bibliophile, and art collector, as well as the creator of the Labyrinth of the Masone in Fontanellato, the largest in the world. This magazine is known for its extraordinary graphic design, sophisticated illustrations, and excellent content, which ranges from classical to contemporary art, from architecture to design, with articles written by leading critics and art historians.
Often described as a true "art object," the magazine stands out for the care with which its content is presented, with particular attention to the photographs and printed materials used. Each issue typically focuses on specific themes, including little-known masterpieces, artistic curiosities, and reports on internationally renowned artists and art collectors.
The issues offered for sale are issues 1-9, as confirmed by the index dated 1982, the year they were first published. These are the first issues of what has become one of the most sought-after magazines among collectors.
