Roberto Garbarino is an art critic and historian as well as a painter. He was born in Genoa in 1964, where he continues to work as an exhibition curator, poet, philosophical essayist, and artist. In addition to publishing several artists' monographs, he studies the relationship between modern and contemporary art and contemporary times from a phenomenological perspective to understand the various sociological aspects of contemporary society.
Garbarino's painting develops from figurative art, especially landscape, to increasingly abstract and informal painting. His art is closely intertwined with his philosophical thought and explores the issues and challenges of contemporary society.
