Romano Mussolini, son of Benito Mussolini and Donna Rachele, was born in Forlì on September 26, 1927. His passion for painting began in 1945, when in Naples, under the valuable guidance of the painters Corrura and Terraccini, he began painting, achieving flattering results and affirmation in the national and international art world. Romano Mussolini works with great dedication, playing music, composing jazz, and writing, but his obsession remains painting, as demonstrated by the passion with which he creates his works. Indeed, landscapes, still lifes, abstract dreams of the past, his fondest memories, the faces of beautiful women, his clowns, the dancers of the 1970s, gypsy scenes, the carnivals of Venice, and his constant search for new settings—all these contribute to the charm, color, and reality of his palette.
