Rossella Rossi, after a PhD in Genetic Sciences (University of Pavia) and fifteen years of research in Molecular Biology at the National Research Council (CNR) in Pavia, moved to Paris in September 2005, where she continued her scientific work and, at the same time, began to devote herself to painting, her lifelong passion. During this period, she completed an internship in life painting from a living model at the École Nationale Supériore des Beaux-arts in Paris and regularly attended the Ateliers de la Grande Chaumière. In September 2008, she returned to Milan and, after a painting and drawing course at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts, decided to abandon her scientific career and devote herself full-time to painting.
