Description of the work
Sandra Kump Crasnich was born in Ljubljana, Slovenia. She graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice in 1992 with a thesis entitled "Aspects of Engraving in the Germanic World from the Renaissance to the 'New Objectivity' and Influences on Twentieth-Century Graphic Production in the Border Regions of Italy and Slovenia: Expressionism as a World View," discussed with Professors Toni Toniato (Art History Professor) and Jacopo Abis (Engraving Professor). She subsequently attended a specialization course in engraving at the Academy of Fine Arts in Ljubljana and a course in engraving organized by the International School of Graphics in Venice. From 2002 to 2004, she attended courses in artistic anatomy, engraving, and drawing at the Scuola Libera del Nudo at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice. She has led graphic design and drawing workshops and taught art history and art education at several Italian and Slovenian middle schools. Since 2012, she has written and illustrated children's stories for the Trieste magazine "Galeb." Group and solo exhibitions and other activities
