This photo was taken with WILHEM BRASSE: An innocent Jewish girl condemned to death for her origins. The last photo taken of her was inside the concentration camp. That last photo was captured in a painting, in which the identification number tattooed on her arm is now an identity, a soul named Sarah, the symbol of a pure, defenseless, frightened body whose wings of dreams, the wings of life, have been clipped. The symbol of a tragic historical period that forever changed the vision of man and of a united community that has begun to fear its own shadows.
