Indeed, his brushstrokes physically charge the subject, characterizing it with very marked features. Saverio Terruso was a painter born in Monreale in 1939 and passed away in 2003. His artistic career began in 1963 and grew through collaborations with artists such as Guttuso, Sassu, and Fiume. His works have been exhibited in numerous shows, not only in Italy, but also in the United States, Brazil, and Mexico. He is represented in several Italian and international collections. His artistic language can be described as expressionism, revealing a certain folksy inclination, undoubtedly derived from Terruso's Mediterranean roots.
