I marry Africa

Two gazes full of passion and emotion against the backdrop of their homeland, Africa, captured in these warm colors that envelop their love for each other and their homeland. The background isn't painted; I used a piece of cotton fabric to create a bit of relief and give more shape to the colors. For her turban and dress, I used a gold-colored satin and a piece of white linen, all hand-sewn with gold thread.
For him, the turban is made of brick/copper colored lining fabric, underneath which you can see there is a piece of the turban in white linen, also hand-sewn with gold thread.
For earrings I used simple red and silver decorative beads.
In this work, I wanted to express my thoughts on the love and passion that develops between a man and a woman. The beauty of being partners and part of each other.
