Mixed-media work, with low-relief mirror and digital photo-processing.
The composition is inspired by the Temple of Diana at Nemi, whose old priest-king was challenged to death by his aspiring successor. At the center is the symbol of the sun and moon, a reference to Diana and her brother Apollo; the drop of blood refers to the violent method of succession. The photo-editing evokes the woods and freshwater, Diana's domain. The inscription on the sides is also a tribute to Aristide Sartorio.
