Description of the work
Description of the work
The work's absolute originality lies, on the one hand, in the translation from the Greek and the commentaries, which emphasize the relationship between vision and hearing as a central element of the Apocalypse, and on the other in the graphic work of Ugo Nespolo, who has rendered the words of the text with profound harmony and evocative power. In this perfect balance, the arduous metaphors of John of Patmos are revealed to the reader with all their power and magic. The work includes the original translation of the text and an introduction by Professor Bruno Forte, ten color plates outside the text, and twelve black-and-white illustrations in the text, taken from original works created specifically for this edition by Ugo Nespolo.
The cover of the volume features a copy of Ugo Nespolo's work The Angel of the Apocalypse, an original work in twelve colors executed using a mixed technique using a litho-serigraphic process on a steel plate.
The stitching, binding and cover of the Volume, in stained calfskin
Hand-made in blue with gold inscriptions, they were handcrafted by the L'Arte del Libro art bookbinding company in Todi.
