Umberto Maestrucci (1897-1952). Initially pursuing a career as a photographer, he later turned his attention to painting, especially landscapes. Maestrucci stands out for his simple and direct style, which embodies a genuinely realistic conception of art. In his work, sensory elements are not idealized but rather reproduced as they are in reality. For this reason, his figurative language draws on life-like reproductions but is distinguished by a certain impressionistic approach that brings a lively and immediate quality to the representation.
