The subject of this work, with an unknown title, like its sister painting also on our website, depicts a rural view where the large mill is depicted from a different perspective. Here too, the view features warm autumnal colors, bringing us back to a Nordic country precisely because of the subject depicted within the painting. Stylistically, the painter is unafraid to depict, through a picturesque and naturalistic style, a landscape composed and balanced in all its parts. Like the work of the same origin, which can be found on our website under the same artist's name, the painter's delicate brushstrokes create brilliant plays of light, bringing balance to the composition. The overall calm of the work highlights the painter's dedication to the views and the reconciliation of diverse human and natural elements. Vincent, the artist, remains unknown to us. No traces of his artistic development over the years can be found. We have had the opportunity to examine another of his works, finding the same technical and stylistic touch, but there are no other indications that would facilitate further investigation. We can place the artist among the landscape painters of the 20th century.
