Landscape has always been a central theme in artistic research, both as a setting, as a backdrop, and as a subject itself. The naturalistic depiction of landscape has always been an artist's aspiration. Each historical period has offered its own interpretation of landscape, contributing to the evolution of its depiction: first with an exploration of space, through Brunelleschi's perspective in the early Renaissance, then with atmospheric rendering in the 16th century, up until the depiction of every single vibration of light on objects in Impressionism.

Vincenzo Aprile's works are constructed entirely through color. Using a remarkable Impressionist technique, Aprile's color delineates forms with just a few brush strokes, creating vibrant and fresh views. Aprile's ability to synthesize goes even beyond Impressionism, reaching a level of abstraction, determined precisely by his cursive brushstrokes, that borders on Expressionism.

Vincenzo Aprile was born in Naples in 1952 but lives and works in Pescara. He has exhibited his paintings in numerous shows in Italy (Galleria “La Cupola” Montecatini, Galleria “Indipendenza” Bologna, Meeting Art Vercelli, Palazzotto delle Aste Fiuggi, Galleria “Esedra” Rome, Galleria Clemente Turin) and abroad (Raphael Gallery USA, Dussard Foroughi Frankfurt, European Art Gallery Sydney, Galeria Aurora Caracas, Bella Europa Ashfield). He devotes himself primarily to landscape painting with an impressionistic influence.
