This work is part of a series in which artist Vinicio Scotti (born in Pavia in 1940, lives and works in Rapallo) has developed a distinctive form of expression that straddles painting and sculpture. The color, applied with a palette knife, is intensely textured and develops into three-dimensionality. The figures are almost modeled, as if the acrylic were a paste to be molded, giving form to the subjects. The language is one of immediate realism, direct in its minimalism and essentiality, clearly inspired by Expressionism.
