The work is an abstract composition. "Abstract" derives from the Latin term "abstrahere," which means to extract or draw out. The process of abstraction, in fact, consists of eliminating the particular and individual aspects of an object to derive a universal concept. From Kandinsky to Mondrian, from Pollock to Mirò, many painters have pushed the process of abstraction to the limit in their works, paradoxically creating pure forms and pure colors that do not exist in nature, or translating their emotions and instincts into images.

The abstract work of artist Vito Nucci has an original and personal character that draws on various influences. First and foremost, the accentuated synthesis of the subject, reduced to its purest essence by a simple black mark. In this process, the artist's gestures take center stage, expressing Nucci's powerful personality in rendering the figure with a quick stroke, a "scribble" with an ironic and playful quality. As we can see from this work, Nucci's work also references pure forms and colors, always in a minimalist interpretation, floating in the white space. Finally, the artist also introduces a distinctive pop vein with the logo, further contextualizing the work.

Vito Nucci was born in Martina Franca (TA) in 1957. From 1970 to 1987 he lived in Basel (Switzerland).
He currently lives and works in Fano (PU). Marco Ferri said of him and his famous "Scarabocchi": "What is striking in his painting is the authenticity of a gaze that seems to directly capture the memories of childhood... I believe the clue to his true inspiration is that instinctive, extroverted, and vitalistic force of the line and the pleasure of making colors explode, of imagining and constructing a different world, as his personal response to the chaos and pain of existence."
