FACES-MASKS

Resembling a robe of colors tending toward black, the chromatic background opens up like a baroque scene to reveal two figures, two mask-like faces, characterized essentially by warm (yellow, red) and cool (white and a few brushstrokes of green) hues. The face above, somewhat angular and with a melancholic gaze turned elsewhere, suggests a body supporting the figure below. The figure's face, obscured by a likely headdress, presents strong and decisive features, like those of an epic hero; and yet, it suggests a face immersed in intense and profound meditation.
