Zaccagnini - Oriental Figure

This work is a beautiful artifact inspired by Oriental art. The statue depicts the elegant figure of a notable wearing traditional Chinese clothing and headdress. The beauty and uniqueness of the piece lie primarily in its material, a precious ceramic, painted and glazed. This is complemented by the elegance of the figure, artfully arched, crafted in a stylized and captivating design that reflects the typical stylistic features of Far Eastern art. The work was created by Ugo Zaccagnini & Figli, a company producing majolica and ceramic objects founded in 1905 by Ugo Zaccagnini (1868-1937), a former plaster caster at Ginori in Doccia. In 1936, the factory was transformed into "Società Anonima Ceramiche Zaccagnini", and then into "Zaccagnini SpA".
